Alejandra Espinoza, was born on March 27, 1987 in Tijuana Mexico . During her high school years, in San Diego CA, Espinoza was always involved in extracurricular activities such as Soccer, folkloric ballet and theater. At the age of 18, she was the 4th runner up in Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2006, which opened so many doors for her on the Modeling World, giving her a lot of exposure, and becoming the image for different campaigns and fashion shows in Baja California. But the real life change came on 2007 when she Became the First “Nuestra Belleza Latina”, one of the biggest TV show on Latino TV. With this title, she won a contract with Univision Network, JC Penney, Ford, Garnier, Maybelline , and became a well known celebrity on the Latin Television and one of the biggest female icons of the Mexican community on the US. Alejandra appeared on the “50 Most Beautiful” of People en Español magazine on 2008, Received two nominations for Premios Juventud, was co-host several times for some Univision shows such as: Sábado Gigante, El Gordo y La Flaca, Despierta America and Nuestra Belleza Latina. A year after, she officially started working on Sàbado Gigante as Model and co-Host. Also, she takes up again her modeling career and has been doing for the last four years the Mercedes Benz Fashion week and the Miami Swim Week. She’s been the image for “Spring Campaign of Bells”, Swim n Sport, Avon, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Extyn Italy, Coltorti and Otto Lingerie, the biggest lingerie Company in Germany.
In addition to Sàbado Gigante, she started working with Univision Special Events hosting for the last three consecutive years the red carpet of Premios Juventud and Premios Oye, the most important award shows among young adults. The Rose Bowl Parade was another amazing show that Espinoza was part of it on 2010 and 2011, winning a telly award that honors the best regional programs. In only 6 years of career she’s the youngest and most successful TV host with the most “on air time” in Univision Network, being part of the Top rated shows such as the Latin Grammys, Feliz 2013, Nuestra Belleza Latina al Descubierto, Acceso Total 2010, Rumbo a Premios lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, and one of the most recent tributes to Jenni Rivera in “la diva Vive”, being a record breaking audience show.
Currently, she is working in three different shows: Sábado Gigante, El Gordo y la Flaca and Nuestra Belleza Latina, making her one of the most popular Univision talents. Also she has done campaigns for brands such as: Net 10, Time Warner Cable, Pantene, Ford, Macys, Red Lobster and P&G campaign “Orgullosa”.
Espinoza’s remarkable success didn’t come easily, she comes from a humble family and used to work at Mc Donalds before her big break on TV. She’s part of the “American Dream” and inspiration for a lot of people.
