From films to theatre and telenovelas to hosting live TV and radio shows the gorgeous and multi-faceted Karla Monroig has done it all.

Her most recent project was Telemundo’s telenovela “La Casa de al Lado”, prior to that she was in the telenovela “Alguien Te Mira”, as well as on Telemundo’s #1 telenovela of 2009 “Mas Sabe el Diablo,” which was aired worldwide including countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Albania, Cyprus and Georgia.

Karla made her debut in telenovelas on Televisa’s (Mexican media giant) “Inocente de Ti,” followed by an outstanding performance as the lead in “Dueña y Señora,” and continued to captivate viewers as the villain in Telemundo’s “Dame Chocolate” opposite Carlos Ponce (“Couples Retreat,” “7th Heaven,” “Lipstick Jungle”), and “El Rostro de Analia.”

Prior to telenovelas she was an entertainment news reporter and host for TV shows such as Univision’s “Anda Pa’l Cará” in her natal Puerto Rico (PR) where she also hosted, produced and had her own radio show “Karla en las Tardes,” as well as “Arriba” a daily radio show.

Karla also performed onstage in plays such as “Tarzan” and “Till Death Due us Part.” In 2004, she performed, wrote, edited, and hosted the making of “I Believe in Santa Claus,” a successful television movie in PR.

Monroig is the ‘godmother’ for the Down Syndrome Foundation in Puerto Rico, as her nephew suffers from the condition. She is also involved with the orphanage “Niños de Cristo” in La Romana, Republica Dominicana and for the past four years has been the official spokesperson for Susan G. Komen Foundation in Puerto Rico.

Spanish TV Guide named her The Most Beautiful Face on Television and she was on the cover of People en Español magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful.” She received an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Adams Playhouse “No Limit Awards” in New York for her role in “Dame Chocolate.”
